Hit The Slopes

A Great Way To Have Fun During The Winter

Join us at Mountain Creek, Vernon, NJ for the winter and learn to ski with us.

 

This is a winter only membership that runs from December to March. Starting with Winter School Break we are on the mountain every Saturday and Sunday throughout the season. The program is for Ages 3 to 13 and you can pick either group or private lessons​.

 

Our team of Mountain Mentors are experienced ski and snowboarders who have a background in working with children, as well as with children with special needs.

Map & Boy Ski

Program Information

  • For ages 3–13

  • Every Saturday and Sunday from December to March

  • Time slots are either 8:30am–11:30am or 12:15pm–3:15pm

  • Small classes of either private 1:1 ratio or group 4:1 ratio

  • Pay once for 4 months

  • Membership includes:

    • Ski or snowboarding sessions with our Mountain Mentors

    • Special rates on season passes to Mountain Creek   

    • COMPASS logo winter hat

  • All riders MUST be at minimum be able to ride on the blues with parallel form, linking turns together, and can ride from the summit to the base independently in groups.

Never Ever

Beginner Group

Beginner lessons focus on the basics of stopping and turning on the slopes. This group is for people who will learn to ride independently on green circle trails.

Mountain Masters

Advanced Group

 Advanced riders are adept at handling varied terrain including steeps, trees, and moguls. These riders are enhancing their technical skills to master the mountain on varied levels of black diamond terrain.

Intermediate Slayer

Intermediate Group

Intermediate lessons are for riders who can confidently ride green and will advance to blue runs through this season. This group is for riders who can get on and off the lift independently.

One To One

Private Lessons

Lessons are with one learner and one coach. This is perfect for those riders who are new to the sport or desire more attention to improve skills faster. Get full attention from instructors in lessons.

Jordanna

Director, Owner, & Ski Coach

Jordanna has over 25 years of skiing experience and created the COMPASS Ski and Board program as a way to share her love of skiing with kids of all ages and ability levels. Jordanna loves coaching because she loves to see the joy it brings her students, as well as the confidence it instills in them.

Rob

Ski Coach

Rob has over 20 years of skiing experience and has been a Mountain Mentor with COMPASS Learning Advantage since 2018. He's skied in the Austrian Alps, Whistler in Canada, and multiple mountains on both the east and west coasts. He loves coaching skiing because he's passionate about the sport and finds it super rewarding to share his knowledge and see others come to excel and find enjoyment in it as well.
