Joy, Resolutions, and Inspiration!

The holidays are over. We made it to 2022. It's nice to be here with you. How’s it going so far? Any resolutions? Self-promises? Goals?

I decided to start this year with an inspiration. Someone who I can look to for structure, guidance, and direction- Jake Burton. Some of you may think, “I ride a Burton snowboard. I have a Burton jacket. I wear Anon goggles.” Or you may have never heard of Jake Burton or the Burton brand. And that’s okay, because until recently, I would have said almost the same thing. I knew of Burton boards and gear. I have the jacket. I knew and heard the name Jake Burton, but I didn’t know anything about Jake Burton.

Jake Burton was a man that took an idea, a vision, an awareness and changed the lives of millions of people around the world. Jake Burton widely popularized snowboarding as a sport by getting resorts, athletes, and retail shops to believe in his vision. He loved snowboarding and wanted to pay this forward so others could foster the same love. Wait for it… That’s not the thing that makes me want to know more. Jake promised himself 100 days a year on the mountain. He strongly believed in living a full life by consciously living one filled with fun, adventure, and love from friends and family. He thrived on the idea that he could share how much fun he had with snowboarding with the entire world.

Just like Jake, I want to share my greatest loves with your family. I want to make sure that the children and families COMPASS continues to serve, can lead lives filled with experiences of love, fun, and joy.

My greatest joys in life are when I am being active and adventurous, being social and connected to others, and when I am playing outside. My joy comes from knowing I can help you along your journey, to have the opportunity to do the things you want your family to experience. Though we may know each other through swimming, schooling, or skiing and snowboarding- or the many pop-up activities throughout the years, I hope that your experiences with COMPASS have continued to bring joy to your family. I want to make sure that you’re able to access and do all of the cool things you want to. I want to make sure that you get to do everything, and never feel left out, because your child learns through experience best.

In 2022, I hope to continue to bring joy through experiences to you and your family, while I learn more about Jake Burton, the person, the visionary, the legend. The joy of getting to know you and your family, while learning what motivates you to bring more experiences to your family’s life, is my 2022 resolution.

I'll be reaching out to you here monthly. Stay in touch!

With Love and Gratitude,

Jordanna
