The love of learning is the best gift we can give our children.
Opening their eyes to absorbing knowledge and helping them to widen their horizons through play, arts, and books at an early age sets them up for a lifetime of loving to learn.
When we heard about Jersey City Mamas’ initiative to raise funds for the Jersey City Free Public Library we were happy to take part.
We all have memories of the first time we took our children to the library. Seeing the look on their faces as they took in all the endless rows of books filled with magical characters, the place for meeting new friends of familiar faces, always being welcomed by loving and caring staff members who had a little surprise ready for them. Their imagination grows by the minute while they absorb all the opportunities books give them.
Jersey City Mamas’s fundraiser event took place on December 8th at Next Door Provisions with dinner, live music, and dancing involved.
All ticket sales along with the auction pieces offered by small local businesses such as Compass benefited the Library. We were very pleased that all the programs we had offered were bid on and sold.
We would also like to take a moment to thank Jersey City Mammas for their continued work in the community and for bringing local businesses together to support each other. The growth of our community is with businesses like JCM that bring us together and help us grow.
