COMPASS Learning Advantage’s running club will be participating in Hoboken’s 5th Annual Turkey Trot this Saturday, November 17th. Located at Pier A Park in Hoboken, this race is a 5K AND a 1-mile fun run–perfect for the whole family and community!
During this fall, running club has taken off as one of the most popular and highly anticipated i-Can sports. Strengthening their endurance and increasing focus, each and every athlete in running club has improved since the fall session began. They have already participated in the Ho-BOO-ken 5K last month, and likewise, the Turkey Trot race will be raising money for Hoboken’s Shelter AND accepting the following donations at the race:
Clothing:
Men’s Casual Clothing, Socks and underpants (No women’s clothing except for socks and underpants)
Food Donations:
Coffee, Sugar, Milk, Cereal, Juice, Frozen Meat–especially turkeys, hams, meatballs, instant potatoes, Marinara sauce, Sandwiches–especially meat-based sandwiches, Fruit–especially bananas
Supply Donations:
Paper/plastic plates, Hot/cold cups, Napkins, Plastic utensils, Hand sanitizer, Laundry detergent, Garbage bags, Postage stamps, Envelopes, Pens
Toiletry Donations:
Soap, Shampoo, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Deodorant, Razors, Shaving Cream, Wash cloths
Extra Items:
Panera $10 gift cards, New umbrellas, Flashlights with batteries

The 1-mile fun run is $20 to register and begins at 9:30AM, meanwhile the 5K is $40 to register and takes off at 10AM.
