What Is the Reading Accelerator?

The Reading Accelerator is a two-hour, weekly class offered by Compass Learning Advantage that focuses on building reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence. Unlike traditional tutoring, this program combines targeted instruction with fun social activities to keep children engaged and motivated.

Class Structure

• Day & Time: Wednesdays, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• Duration: 2 hours

  • 1 hour: Focused reading practice including reading, comprehension, and writing skills

  • 1 hour: Social games and activities to support brain processing development and increase the mind's ability to learn and process information.

• Ages: Pre-readers through 3rd grade

• Location: 101 Park Avenue, Hoboken, NJ at our Clubhouse.

The class is included in our After-School Program, but can be joined as an individual class.
